WHY AGENT READINESS
MATTERS NOW

AI Agents Are Here

Google Gemini, OpenAI Operator, and Anthropic Claude don’t just answer questions — they browse, click, and interact with websites autonomously. Your site is their interface.

WebMCP Is Shipping

Chrome 146 introduces Web Model Context Protocol — a new API for sites to declare structured tools for AI agents. GlobalDex is the first and only scanner to detect it.

Most Sites Aren’t Ready

The vast majority of websites score below Grade A. Missing structure, metadata, and accessibility gaps block AI agents from working effectively with your site.

BUILT TO BE
THE STANDARD

What makes GlobalDex the authority on AI agent readiness.

First WebMCP Scanner

The only tool detecting Chrome 146’s Web Model Context Protocol. Early-mover advantage on the protocol that will define agent–web interaction.

AI-Powered Analysis

Every scan is analyzed by Claude. AI categorizes your site, identifies strengths and weaknesses, and generates a natural-language assessment — not just a number.

34 Compliance Checks

Structure, metadata, accessibility, discoverability, and WebMCP — the most comprehensive agent-readiness scoring model available.

Deployment Gate

Block deploys if your site isn’t agent-ready. CLI and GitHub Action with --threshold that exits with code 1 on failure.

Growing Domain Registry

The largest continuously updated index of AI agent readiness data, covering the world’s most visited websites from the Tranco top-1M.

FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS

What is AI agent readiness?

AI agent readiness measures how well a website can be understood, navigated, and interacted with by autonomous AI agents — such as Google Gemini, OpenAI Operator, and Anthropic Computer Use. It covers semantic HTML, metadata, accessibility, discoverability, and WebMCP support.

What is WebMCP?

WebMCP (Web Model Context Protocol) is a browser API shipping in Chrome 146 that lets websites declare structured tools for AI agents. Instead of an agent guessing how to fill a form, WebMCP gives it an explicit contract — like a REST API, but for browser-native agents.

How does AI fit into the scan?

After running 34 deterministic compliance checks, GlobalDex sends your site’s data to Claude (Anthropic’s AI) for analysis. Claude categorizes your site by industry (e.g. E-commerce, Tech, Finance) and writes a 2–3 sentence assessment explaining your strengths, weaknesses, and top priority. The AI never affects your score — it adds context on top of it.

How is the score calculated?

GlobalDex runs 34 checks across 5 categories: Structure (8 checks), Metadata (8 checks), Accessibility (6 checks), Discoverability (9 checks), and WebMCP (3 checks). Each check is weighted and combined into a 0–100 score. Grade A is 80+, B is 60–79, C is 40–59, D is 20–39, F is below 20.

How do I use GlobalDex in CI/CD?

Add the GlobalDex GitHub Action or CLI to your pipeline with a --threshold flag. If your site’s score falls below the threshold, the pipeline fails with exit code 1, blocking the deploy. This enforces agent-readiness as a deployment requirement.

Why does GlobalDex exist?

AI agents are becoming the primary way software interacts with websites. But there was no standard for measuring whether a site is ready for them — no Lighthouse for agents. GlobalDex defines that standard with the most comprehensive scoring model, the first WebMCP scanner, and a growing registry of agent-readiness data across the internet.

Is GlobalDex free?

Yes. The web scanner, public API, Chrome Extension, GitHub Action, and CLI are all free. No account required.
